MAIKA KNOBLICH (1986) is a theatre maker, performer and lightdesigner.

She studied at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen (B.A. 2010) and did her Master’s degree at the artschool of Amsterdam in the DAS program in 2013.
 

In 2009 Hendrik Quast and her founded Performance Duo Quast & Knoblich. Their performances have toured nationally and internationally. Together they have realized three radioplay adapatations of their works for the WDR Köln. In 2023 radioplay Nagelneu won radioplay of the year.

From 2022-2025 Maika Knoblich was a fellow in the Dorothea-Erxleben program of HBK Braunschweig where she taught performative practice. She also works as a coach for feebackmethods in creative processes and teaches Filmgestaltung at the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg / Ludwigsburg.

Since 2010 she has been working as a lightdesigner and dramaturge, with (among others) Olympia Bukkakis, Philippe Blanchard, SKART, Vanessa Stern, Jeremy Wade and Hendrik Quast.
